Cecilia Y. Cáceres

Born in 1963, in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

She has got a degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine after studying with Dr. Wang Yu, Director of the Chinese Acupuncture Association in Argentina (“A.A.CH.A.”).

She is a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine and was appointed Acupuncture and Moxibustion Permanent Physician by the Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy Administration of the Popular Chinese Republic, Beijing, 1997.

She got an A Level Certificate of International Proficiency Examination for Professional Acupuncturists from the International Acupuncture-Moxibustion Examination Center of Beijing.

Postgraduate in Surgical Acupunctural Analgesia, School of Medical Sciences, Holguín, Cuba (2003).

Postgraduate in Phytotherapy, School of Medical Sciences, Holguín, Cuba, 2005.

She has attended several Symposia, Academic Conferences and Advanced Courses in China, Vietnam, Korea, Spain and Cuba since 1997 up to the present.

Member of the Chinese Acupuncture Association in Argentina (“A.A.CH.A.”) since 1989 and she represented Argentina at the General Assembly of World Federation of Acupuncture –MoxibustiónSocieties (W.F.A.S.) in Beijing, November 1997 and November 1999, Seoul, Korea.

She has submitted research works in international congresses and written TCM general knowledge articles in virtual and graphic magazines as well as in Argentine newspapers.

She has given talks, advanced seminars and TCM training courses for physicians and health professionals for more than fifteen years in Argentina.

As a teacher she encourages the professional training through educational material related to TCM specific techniques such as the CDs “Ear Acupuncture” and "Moxibustion and Cupping Techniques.".

She taught specific techniques such as Ear Acupuncture or Scalp Acupuncture in Buenos Aires, the latter also taught at the “Hospital de Medicina Tradicional y Natural” (Traditional and Natural Medicine Hospital) “Juan T. Roig”, Holguín Cuba,2004.

She specializes in Stress and Chronic Pain approaching them through the Traditional Chinese Medicine and including Cutting-edge Therapies, taught by Dr. Solvey and Dr. Asis, with techniques such as the Auricular Chromotherapy, Chromo T.I.C. (Brain Integration Techniques).

For the last fifteen years she has been working by means of interdisciplinary techniques approaching health from the Western to the Eastern point of view with professionals in medicine specialities such as Oncology, Psychiatry, Neurosurgery and palliative care and also with Psychologists and Counselors.

In her teaching activity she also develops techniques on “Chinese Medicine for Everybody: Prevention and Quality of Life”, for the general public.
